Reflecting on 2008

As we ring in the new year, I love to reflect on all that happened in our life over the past year. The things we've done, the things we've learned, and how we've changed individually and as a family.

Varney 2008 in review:
Lee and I took a quick last minute trip to Hawaii for his business.
Lee went to Kuwait and Dubai for business.
Lots of baseball....
We made some great memories on Lake Powell with some great friends.
First days of school (Kendall)
Tackle football (a first for Carson)
Volleyball (a first for Bryson)
Soccer (a first for Kendall)
More great memories in California with great friends.
Monumental changes within our government.
Monumental changes with our economy.
New family pet, Miley, Kendall's christmas kitty.
Bryson finally has his own room.

That's a quick summation of our year. We loved a lot, lived a lot, laughed a lot, and even shed some tears. And more than anything, we've learned that good friends and family are worth their weight in gold. As long as we've got them, we've got everything!

Great thoughts! I agree completely that family and friends are what a great life and journey are all about.
