I am grateful for my four kids and my wonderful husband.

I am thankful for my mom, and tonight, I'm especially grateful for my dad.

Tonight, a plane crashed into the Superstition Mountains on its way home to Safford.

It was a plane owned and operated by Ponderosa Aviation, the company my dad flies for.

My dad knew the pilot and co-pilot.

They were bringing back one of their families for Thanksgiving.

My heart is so very heavy tonight for the families and friends affected by this tragic accident, including my mom and dad.

I think of all the hundreds of times my dad flies during the year...

The times he use to fly down and pick my family up to bring us back to visit...

I don't want to think about it anymore.
