the free ride comes to a sudden halt.

Don't get me wrong, it's still pretty cushy around here but we have a certain policy around here,

"you scratch my back, i'll scratch yours"

You work hard, get good grades, participate in sports, help out around the house with a few mundane chores, and we're happy to pay for and provide several opportunities for you to have fun, go away experience new things, like EFY, scout camps, BYU camps, family trips...

You keep up your end of the bargain, we keep ours.

It's simple.
