Leave it to Carson to bring home a stray kitten. Camdon had so much fun playing him in outside and that little thing followed him wherever he went. So cute! When they asked if they could keep him, I told them they'd have to take that one up with dad (not so much a cat lover). By the time Lee got home, I had to leave for a presidency meeting so as I'm backing out of the driveway, he's getting last minute instructions before he goes into the house as to who needs to be at what practice and who needs to be picked up at what time. And then I casually mention out the window, "Oh and there's a kitten inside." I drive away and looking out the rear view window I see him with his hands up like, huh? I can't help but smirk. Of course my cell phone rings two minutes later, "There's a cat on the table eating baloney, why!?" "It's a kitten", I correct him. "I don't know why it's eating baloney, I guess he's hungry and we don't have cat food. Gotta go, love ya!"
By the time I get home much later that night, the kitty is gone. I asked Lee what he did with it and he found out from a neighbor about an animal rescue shelter in the neighborhood so he loaded up the kids and dropped the cat off to their house. He thanked me for letting him handle that situation (I know he secretly loves those opportunities for parental growth!) But, I knew Lee could handle the situation better than I could. If the role were reversed, we'd still have a kitty eating baloney on the table.

Such a softy. That is cute of Camden though. Was it his idea to feed the cat bologna?
