I absolutely love hearing little children pray. They have the most simple, sweet, heartfelt prayers. Camdon is always the first one to volunteer to say the prayer in our family. Whether it's over the dinner table, bedside, or before we all head out the door in our separate directions in the morning, he demands on saying it. And on the days someone else is asked to do it, we have two prayers.
When Camdon prays, he thanks Heavenly Father for each member of his family by name, in random order, no less than 3 times each, and sporadically throws in random names of neighborhood kids, extended family members, and/or spiderman, superman, or batman.
When Kendall prays, no matter what forum she is praying in, she asks Heavenly Father to help her to eat all her dinner so she can have a treat. She use to always include in her prayers, "...and help me to choose the right." Until one time after she had said her prayers before bed and I was tucking her in she said, "I don't think Heavenly Father is listening to me." When I asked her why she thought that, she said, "Because the brothers always put something in one of their hands and then show me both of them and tell me to choose one. I always ask Heavenly Father to help me choose right and I still always pick the wrong one!"
When Carson was little his prayers always included, "Please help me not to go to jail when I'm bigger." I'm not gonna lie, that one was always a little disconcerting to me. So I started including it in my prayers as well, "Please help Carson to not go to jail when he's bigger."
When Bryson was little his prayers were always about balls. Help him to hit the ball hard, throw it fast, kick it far. His prayers were all about the events of that particular day. I wish I had written them down, they were all so cute!
I wish my older boys still prayed out loud instead of to themselves before they go to bed, I would love to still be able to listen to their prayers.

There are few things sweeter than a child's prayer. Cade slaps his hands together - so hard - like he's ready to go! Loved the post!
