Plan B

Camdon saw a picture of Carson playing in the pool with his daddy when he was little (long before Camdon was ever born) and he said, "I remember that!"
I said, "No, that's not you."
Camdon - "I know, it's Carson. I remember watching from up in Heaven."
me - "Really? And were you thinking, 'I can't wait to go live with that family!'"
Camdon - "Nope."
me - "Well you know, you picked me to be your mom don't you?"
Camdon - "No, i actually didn't pick you. I picked Nonni. (sigh) But Heavenly Father forgot to send me to her so then he just sent me to you."

Since then, he has reminded me several times that I was Plan B.

"Remember mom? You weren't suppose to be my mom. I was suppose to have a different mom."

He's always telling me stories about when he lived with Heavenly Father. He'll say random things like when I'm tying his shoes and he says matter of factly, "You know Jesus ties shoes tighter than you." Then he grabs the laces, pulls then real tight and while holding in his breath says, "He pulls them tight like this."

Or, he'll tell me the story, out of the blue, about the day he was born and how scared he was to be born and how he felt like he was falling. He says, "...and I was like 'whoaaa! No! I don't want to!'"
(If I could have put words into his mouth, that's exactly what i would have said he'd have said about that day too! :)

I wonder just how close he is to the spirit and if he really does remember glimpses of his life before he was mine.

Anyway, I'm okay with being plan B. I'm just happy to call him mine.

And...if he was really suppose to be Nonni's, then I guess he's not too far from home. :)

That is so sweet. I think he probably does get glimpses of his premortal life. Thanks for sharing!
