Today i got a phone call from the school.
They wanted to let me know they had my 11 yr. old son in the office.
He wasn't sick.
He had been written up along with a few of his friends for goofing off in the lunch line.
"They went as far as putting their hands on one another," the lady said with complete disdain.
"Where were they putting their hands???" (i was curious).
"Just poking each other."
The disciplinary lady then proceeded to tell me how he would be sent to the "STAR" room (sounds like a fun place to be, huh? Apparently it's not. It stands for something bad where they send only the seriously punished kids) for the remainder of the day. She asked if i wanted to speak to him first (any last words, I guess).
Carson - Hello?
Me - so what's goin on?
Carson - my friends and i were having a bean dip war (flipping each other in the nipple...don't ask, they're boys) and got in trouble.
me - did someone get hurt?
C - no
me - feelings hurt?
C - no
me - did you break something?
C - no
me- knock something over?
C - no
me - oh. ok. So what do they want me to say to you?
C - I don't know.
me - hmmm...well, have a great day? I love you.
And then, I got in my car, signed him out of school and took him to get a hot fudge sundae. :)
The "mean lady" overheard me signing him out and came out to talk to me. She said, "So, you're taking him home?"
"No, I responded, "I'm taking him to get ice cream."
And we left.
Mean people suck.

Good for you Anna!! Some people get their panties twisted sooo tight, that they can't even breathe, or let other people breathe. She needs a different job!!

That a way Anna! Mean people do suck and it sounds like this lady shouldn't work around children!! You're a wonderful mom! Can I come play at your house sometime? Maybe get ice cream?
OMG! I agree, the mean lady should not be working with children. You are a great mom and Carson is a wonderful boy. If you need back-up next time call me. If you double back-up I'll bring Nana.
