The only one

This weekend was our ward's annual father & sons campout.
Kendall was just as thrilled as the boys were about it because
fathers & sons campout= girls weekend!
This year, I took Kendall to Scottsdale for an overnight.
She LOVED it.
We swam, hot tubbed, ate way too much junk food, shopped, gave each other pedicures in our hotel room, watched movies and ate frozen yogurt in bed for dinner. Does it get any better?
No pics though :( , sent the camera with the boys...

Anyway, she made an interesting comment to her brother when we got home.
Something about me taking her on a girls trip because she doesn't have a sister.
It made me a little sad for her.

Sisters are the best, I'm so grateful for my sister.

But, I hope she doesn't feel like she got the short end of the stick her whole life because she doesn't have one.

There are some great things about being the only girl too.

Like...
- it's all about you
- you get spoiled!
- you have daddy wrapped around your little finger

(Dec. 2007)

- when it comes to shopping, pedicures, and all things girl, you get ALL your mom's attention

(Dec. 2007)

- your clothes are all yours
- no hand-me-downs
- you get your own room and bathroom
- no competition for drama it's all you! ;)
- there will never be a shortage of boys at the house (someday you'll see that as a plus)
- and, you have these 3 studs that will always have your back!

Great weekend for the guys and girls! You are a wonderful mom to take advantage of an opportunity to build your mother/daughter bond and make happy memories! Love the pics! Love you!
